José Antonio Rueda achieved a feat that neither Pedro Acosta, Izan Guevara or Jorge Martín had achieved. He is already champion of the Moto3 Junior World Championship, within the JuniorGP, and of the Red Bull Rookies Cup. No one had ever achieved it.

In Misano, coinciding with the MotoGP World Championship, this young Sevillian from Monlau Estrella Galicia already finished the JuniorGP and was able to focus more on the Rookies. He had his first chance to secure it in Aragon, but Collin Veijer prevented it. Everything was pending for Cheste.

At the Ricardo Tormo, after the results of the first race, the Sevillian defended the final appointment with a 15-point lead over the Dutchman.

On the grid, Piqueras had the first position, with Rueda, fourth, and Veijer, fifth. It was a clean start, no crashes. In fact, in the first passage through the goal, the formation positions were maintained.

As almost always, given the mechanical equality, a large group was assembled. Several tried to break it, but there was no way. The Andalusian did the entire test among the best, without leading, but closely marking his rival for the crown.

OGorman, who had been in the top five the entire race, went down in the first angle with seven laps remaining. The other Spaniards, Quiles, Piqueras, and Ruda took turns at the head.

In fact, subtracting five laps, the three nationals took a few meters. The Italian Lunetta and Veijer were trying to hunt them down. The one from the Netherlands knew that he needed a lot of points to dream of the wound.

For his part, Rueda remained in the group of eight, which was enough to avoid problems. He faced the final lap seventh... after Veijer, but at a reasonable distance to avoid trouble and with the eighth, eight-tenths behind him.

The last lap brought a great duel between Piqueras and Quiles. The Murcian took the cat to the water to win with a great pass. Rueda, calm, finished seventh after Veijer and was champion. Double champion. Almost nothing. The future is his, because next year he will arrive at the Moto3 World Championship with Ajo KTM and with Deniz Öncü as his partner.
