NFL: Kansas City
What you need to know: The Chiefs have to find a way to move the ball and score points when opponents aren't charging Patrick Mahomes. Tennessee proved, perhaps conclusively, that the way to stop Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense is by not sending the charge. The Chiefs found a way to beat the Titans, but Tennessee was the third opponent to send charges against Mahomes on less than 20 percent of the snaps and the Chiefs struggled offensively on all three occasions. They lost the first two games. The Titans were able to pressure Mahomes without sending additional defenders, sacking him four times.
Is there reason to be concerned about kicker Harrison Butker? He made a 28-yard field goal in overtime, but other than that, Butker hasn't been the same since returning from an ankle injury suffered in Week 1. He missed four games and had missed three since his return. of six field goal attempts before his kick in overtime, although he did make a 62-yard field goal, the longest in Chiefs history, in Week 6 against the Bills. Butker also missed an extra-point attempt against the Titans. The Chiefs are going to need Butker's help if they continue to struggle offensively like they did against Tennessee.
