New coach and new goalkeeper at Zaragoza: Mouse time

The Galician will be the starter in the next matches due to the injury of Cristian Álvarez

Fran Escribá's debut will not be the only one this Sunday in the Cup. Álvaro Ratón will also make it this season, who is now monopolizing all eyes due to Cristian Álvarez's injury. The Argentine will probably not return until 2023 due to a broken elbow and the Galician now has all the responsibility under the sticks.

The goalkeeper has been living in the shadow of the legendary Cristian for years and has barely been playing a few games in recent years. This time, they will have several consecutive games to enjoy again on the pitch, something they have not done since May 27 against the Real Sociedad subsidiary on the last day of the championship.

Ratón played seven matches last season divided into three cupbearers and four in the League, where he conceded eight goals. In the Cup, it lasted until the visit of Sevilla who won 0-2 in the round of 32. Previously, the Maños had eliminated Messenger and Burgos. On Sunday they will visit the Diocesan with the obligation to win, although this tournament is secondary, even more so with the bad domestic situation.

There could have been some doubt between Ratón and Dani Rebollo, who was signed this summer and is playing with the Zaragoza subsidiary, but Escribá spoke only of the Galician in his presentation as coach of Real Zaragoza. Therefore, the Andalusian will have to settle for returning to a list as a substitute now for Álvaro.
