Stefanos Tsitsipas debuts his record of victories and eliminates Medvedev
The Russian, last finalist. married for the match in the tenth game of the third set
Daniil Medvedev has arrived out of shape at the end of the year, which traditionally was so good when played on a hard surface indoors. The Russian has been eliminated from the Turin Masters Cup this Wednesday when there is still a day to play in the red group.
Medvedev has lost his second game of the week, this time at the hands of Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-7(11), and 7-6(1). The Muscovite, champion of the tournament in 2020 and finalist in 2021, missed victory when he was closest to it with 5-4 and serve.
He failed and was allowed to go in the 'tie break' while paying all his anger against his bench. Tsitsipas, for his part, will play the ticket to the semifinals against Andrey Rubev. The winner will accompany Novak Djokovic.
There is a before and after in Daniil's career since he missed the final of the last Australian Open against Rafael Nadal. And it is that his last seven duels with 'top10' have finished with defeat.
That will be reflected in the ranking where the Russian is sixth, but he could find himself surpassed by Djokovic, Rublev, or even Taylor Fritz.
