However, he has been showered with many critical comments reminding him that a self-confessed United fan cannot buy the 'Pool'.

"Have no doubt that in the future I am contemplating the purchase of a football franchise," warned the Irishman. The British media 'The Athletic' revealed on Monday that FSG has shown interest in new partners taking control of Liverpool, a club it has owned since 2010.
